Two major events prompted Mayo entrepreneur David McIntyre to develop the Cubbie booth which offers a sensory solution for people with autism, ADHD and other sensory processing disorders (SPD).
Being diagnosed with dyslexia as an adult and then having his youngest daughter, Ava, diagnosed with autism led to David’s eureka moment.
Another significant factor in his decision to manufacture the Cubbie booth was being made redundant.
David’s business, DMC-Design Ltd, developed the Cubbie booth which offers a multi-sensory space to both children and adults and can adapt to the individual needs of each user. It delivers a total sensory management system.
